Dear Friends and Neighbors,
It is with deep gratitude and elation I thank you for electing me to serve on the City Council. I appreciate your support and solidarity, especially at a time of potentially significant change for the city. I value the deep wisdom within the community and have always strived to listen to understand with clarity, your issues and concerns.
On a personal level, I would like to thank the many people that helped make this day a reality: those that spread the word about my candidacy in a citywide campaign, hosted meet & greets, helped to canvass, supported financially, or chose to host a lawn sign.
In the coming term, I look forward to working cooperatively and productively with my fellow Ward 5 team, Andreae Downs and Bill Humphrey. I wish to thank Deb Crossley for her years of service and dedication for the city we both know and love deeply.
And on a final note, now, more than ever, it is imperative that we proceed, as your elected body, to do the people’s work with discourse that prioritizes civility, acknowledges differing viewpoints, and supports outcomes based on respectful compromises.
With heartfelt thanks,
